VoteRescue and its Coalition Bring in Compelling Witnesses
And Host Two Related Events
Who: Austin-based election protection group VoteRescue and its Coalition, Texans for REAL Elections, bringing in experts to testify
What: National
experts and former election officials debunk the myth of electronic
voting security and accessibility for the disabled, and will present
documented testimony before the House Committee on Elections Interim Hearing

VoteRescue Radio Fri.6/20, 6-8pm:John Brakey, Debra Medina! |
|
|
|
Friday, 20 June 2008 11:25 |
|
Hello from VoteRescue Radio, Where Citizens Count, One Vote at a Time!
Tomorrow, Friday, June 20th, from 6-8pm, we are excited to announce two dynamic guests: DEBRA MEDINA,
Republican Party Chair of Wharton County, Texas, will be on during our
first hour to talk about her temporary restraining order against the
Texas State Republican Party, granted June 4th; her purpose was to
restore order and integrity to the Party and ensure fair treatment of
all of the delegates at the Texas Republican State Convention. We'll
hear from Debra tomorrow as to whether or not that happened last
week at the Convention, which was held in Houston.
In our second hour, we'll be talking with JOHN BRAKEY ,
Co-founder of AUDIT-AZ. (Americans United for Democracy, Integrity,
and Transparency in Elections, Arizona) and the Special Task Force
Leader of the Arizona Democratic Party Election Integrity Committee, in
which he works as Co-Coordinator for Investigations along with David
Griscom of the Election Defense Alliance (EDA).
John says he became an election integrity activist "at 3:30 pm November 2, 2004". On
that day, which was Election Day 2004, John was Democratic "Cluster
Captain" for four precincts in Arizona Congressional District 7, which
had 80% non-Republican, predominately Hispanic voter registration, yet
would be recorded as having voted 42% for Bush.
Throughout
Election Day, John witnessed suspicious behavior by poll workers at
three of his four precincts. An hour after the polls had closed, he
caught poll workers at one of these stations in the act of altering the
poll books. Shocked, John immediately launched what would grow into a
1,000+ hour audit of the voting at precinct #324, beginning by
salvaging the poll-worker-annotated Advice to Voter slips from the
trash the next morning and then buying copies of all other pertinent
public records. John entered all of these data on Excel spreadsheets
and began e-mailing them to Dave Griscom with highlighted oddities and
irregularities.
Eventually,
the team of Brakey and Griscom uncovered evidence of an elaborate "hack
and stack" poll-worker fraud designed to alter the optical scan ballot
count and evade detection in a recount. Griscom was able to calculate
the probability of the seven irregularities the found being committed
exactly 11 times each. The odds that these seven irregularities were
random accidents due to poll-worker incompetence, were less than one
chance in 20 million. Conclusion: The poll workers did these things on
purpose, and they religiously followed a formula whereby they could
have swung the vote by as much as 12.8%--without being detected in a
manual recount of the ballots.
John, together
with his Audit-AZ team including colleague Jim March (whom John
affectionately calls "Jimmy the Geek") have just had a huge win in the
courts, where Pima County, Arizona election officials have
been ordered to release all of the electronic voting databases for all
future elections, and for past elections going back to 1998.
This offers an amazing opportunity to discover fraud with the
electronic voting systems, and is the first court victory of its kind
giving citizens the kind of access they deserve to election records.

VoteRescue Radio Fri. 6/13, 6-8pm CDT: Dr. Lora Chamberlain |
|
|
|
Thursday, 12 June 2008 11:02 |
Hello from VoteRescue Radio, Where Citizens Count, One Vote at a Time!
This Friday, June 13th, from 6-8pm CDT, VoteRescue Radio is happy to welcome Dr. Lora Chamberlain of the Illinois Ballot Integrity Project.
Dr. Lora Chamberlain is a a board-certified Family
Practice Physician who has worked for progressive political change in
this country for 30 years; for environmental sustainability, for
reproductive rights, for peace and justice issues and since 2003 for
voting rights and election integrity. She has helped run a couple of
local campaigns for Dennis Kucinich for President and has had her own
progressive radio show, "The American Activist", on KSKQ.org, a
community radio station in Ashland, Oregon.
To quote Dr. Lora, "I know it is ridiculous to use
'Clean Elections' and 'Illinois politics' in the same sentence, but
that is exactly what we at the IL Ballot Integrity Project are trying to change here." We'll hear from her about the IL BIP campaign to get
a three ballot referendum on the ballot in November
that would get paper ballots for everyone in the state; clean elections
or publicly funded campaigns for state wide offices and the state
legislative candidates; and campaign finance reform. Illinois is the
wild west of political campaigns. There are no limits at all on what
you can donate to candidates there and it has led to major corruption
on all levels of government.
During our first hour, we will cover other election
news around the country and may hear from VoteRescuers Laura Killins
and others who are delegates at the Texas Republican Convention in
Houston this week, where a big brawl may be brewing between Ron Paul
supporters and those delegates backing John McCain. Already the Rules
Committee this week has attempted to prohibit any still or videocameras
at the event!
The Texas Legislature's House Committee on
Elections is holding their Interim Hearing on electronic voting on June
25th, and VoteRescue has been invited to bring in speakers--which we
are! We'll cover that too!
VoteRescue Radio can be heard on the radio in the Austin area at 90.1 FM; is streaming live on www.wtprn.com (for "We the People Radio Network"), AND, can be heard OVER THE PHONE at 512/485-9010! All shows are archived at the above web site, usually within a couple of hours after 8pm CDT.

Hello from VoteRescue Radio, Where Citizens Count, One Vote at a Time!
This Friday, June 6th, from 6-8pm CDT, we have a show
jam-packed with fantastic guests! We are honored and excited to
welcome to the show this week ION SANCHO, the Supervisor of Elections in Leon County, Florida.
Ion Sancho in front of the Leon County Courthouse on Nov. 7, 2006
Ion made major election integrity news in 2005 when
he invited in the "Black Box Voting hacking team" (as I call it),
including Finnish Harri Hursti and Dr. Herbert Thompson, to examine the
Diebold optical scan counters which were being used in his county.
This was the first time that voting integrity experts had been invited
to examine real election equipment. What was demonstrated there,
and widely publicized afterward, was the fact that election
results could be hacked in minutes by simply switching out the memory
card in the machine with one containing a live "hacking" program. This
famous hack can be viewed in its entirety on the emmy-award
nominated HBO documentary, "Hacking Democracy" (purchase through www.hackingdemocracy.com) . A link to the clip of the hack is here:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=J36Jfkxd1vA
Serving since January 1989, Ion has been reelected
four times and is the only Supervisor of Elections in Florida without
party affiliation. He has devoted special attention to studying voting
technologies and citizen participation in our electoral system. Under
his administration Leon County is now has the highest voter turnout of
Florida 's 67 counties. We'll relay more about Ion's amazing career
and experience when we introduce him on Friday's show.
We will also have returning guest BOB SCHULZ of
We the People Foundation, who will complete the details from last
week's interview on the amazing citizens' action he is orchestrating to
present Petitions for Redress of Grievances to Congressional leaders of
the U.S.; Bob will detail how YOU can help; and tell us about his
upcoming hunger fast related to this dramatic and important action.
We also welcome back another returning guest, JIM MARCH, to
give us an update on the recent victory by the Democratic Party of Pima
County, Arizona. In the court case which Jim has reported on during a
prior show, the judge's recent decision will force the county election
officials to release election data to citizens which will allow them to
review those records for possible election fraud.

VoteRescue Radio Fri.5/30, 6-8pm CDT: Bob Schulz |
|
|
|
Thursday, 29 May 2008 13:36 |
Hello from VoteRescue Radio - Where Citizens Count, One Vote at a Time! This Friday, May 30th, from 6-8pm CDT, we are excited to welcome our special guest BOB SCHULZ of We the People Congress.
 |
ROBERT "BOB" SCHULZ |
Bob has been active in the defense of
Constitutional issues for over 22 years. He has focused courtroom
actions on government wrongdoing and the right of citizens to petition
the government for a redress of grievances, a protection given us in
the last ten words of the First Amendment to the Constitution. Though
not an attorney, Bob has won many court cases "pro-se" (Click here for a list of the citations of the 99 state court decisions and 15 federal court decisions in the cases Bob has brought against governmental wrongdoing.)
Last year, Bob directed his attention
to the electronic voting machine issue prior to the Iowa Republican
Straw Poll. Diebold optical scan counters were being used there, of
the same type successfully hacked by Bev Harris's Black Box Voting
"hacking team", including Finnish computer expert Harri Hursti. Schulz
filed in Iowa the first of what would become a 50 state "National Clean
Election Lawsuit" ("NCEL") against all of the Secretaries of State or
State Boards of Elections for allowing electronic voting machines to be
used, in violation of the Constitution. Bob was also present during
much of the New Hampshire Republican Prmary recount in January and
February of this year, gathering data which later led to clear findings
of much higher discrepancies between ballots that had been
electronically counted on Election Day, rather
than hand-counted, compared to the recount tallies.
Bob will be updating us on the "NCEL"
lawsuit, AND about a very important movement he has initiated
regarding the redress of grievances section of the First Amendment.
See these two YouTubes of Bob for a preview of his plan to confront the
government on the illegal Iraq War, the Federal
Reserve, the IRS, the Patriot Act, the North American Union, gun
control, and other governmental "policies" which are in violation of
the Constitution: YouTube and Google
. This may be one of the most powerful actions available to liberty
loving patriots today - you won't want to miss this interview!
In our first
hour, we will be discussing the HBO "Recount" documentary, Arkansas's
major election snafus causing two elections to be overturned; Texas
Attorney General settles vote suppression case, and other election news.
Our special guest co-host this week will be Abbe Waldman DeLozier.

VoteRescue Radio TONITE (5/23/08): Bruce Funk! 6-8pm CDT! |
|
|
|
Friday, 23 May 2008 08:52 |
Hello from VoteRescue Radio - Where Citizens Count, One
Vote at a Time!
Vote Rescue Radio has a new day and time slot - Fridays, 6-8 pm,
Central time!
We hope that even more of you will be able to join us at our new time
slot - and we're celebrating this Friday, May 23rd, 6-8pm CDT by bringing
on an honored guest: Bruce Funk.
Bruce is the 23 year veteran clerk of Emery County, Utah, who called
in the Black Box Voting "hacking team" to examine the Diebold election
equipment delivered to his office in 2006 when he noticed some suspicious
things about the machines. The resulting examination of the Diebold systems
by Harri Hursti, Finnish computer programming expert brought in by Bev
Harris of Black Box Voting, uncovered "the most serious security gap
ever discovered in an electronic voting system" as characterized by
Michael Shamos, A Carnegie-Mellon computer science professor who certifies
voting machines for the state of Pennsylvania.
Bruce, who was one year away from retirement, was locked out of his
own office and then fired by the County Commissioners, then subsequently audited
by the IRS. Bruce Funk is one of the true heroes of the election integrity
movement and his story is compelling and important. We hope you'll tune
in for our interview of this courageous leader in the battle for citizens
to take back our elections.
VoteRescue Radio can be heard on the radio in the Austin area
at 90.1 FM; is streaming live on www.wtprn.com (for "We
the People Radio Network"), AND, can be heard OVER THE PHONE at

enjoy the content of this or other shows you hear through this Network,
please consider making a donation through the website (above). Thank
you!
The call-in number for the show is: 512-646-1984.
In our first hour, we will be covering primary news on Kentucky
and Oregon. talk about Bev Harris's exciting new 2008 Citizens' Tool
Kit for actions people can take on Election Day in November; Ron Paul's
visit to Austin this week; and other timely election-related news.
Hope to "see" and hear you "On the Air" on tonight!
