Friday, 11 July 2008

Hello from Radio Land:  VoteRescue Radio, Where People Count, One Vote at a Time!

This Friday, July 11, from 6 til 8 pm Central time, we are excited to have several fascinating guests:  In our first hour, we'll have Penny Langford Freeman giving us her take on the Texas Legislature's June 25th hearing on electronic voting, where she gave a statement; on the "Festival 4 Freedom" event in Sturgis, S.D. where we shared a house for several days on and around the 4th of July; and another surprise topic of high interest to Texans!  Penny will be joined by colleague Carol Jones, who also attended the hearing;  Carol was the ballot integrity chair for former Texas Governor Bill Clements.

Penny Langford-Freeman is a fourth-generation rancher/farmer who worked for Congressman Ron Paul as his District Political Director, Caseworker and Scheduler for 10 years. While representing the Congressman before many forums, she became a spokesman for the Americanist cause in her own right. She currently owns Revolution Consulting, an independent political consulting agency.  She and her husband also own an equine health facility, Liberty Oak Ranch on the Gulf Coast. They have eight children ranging in ages from 15 to 34.  Penny has a lot of political savvy and gives a fun and fascinating interview.

In our second hour, we welcome back Richard Hayes Phillips, who has been touring the country promoting his new book, "Witness to a Crime",  an investigative report and eyewitness history -- the document of record for what really happened during the 2004 election in Ohio.

Richard began investigating the 2004 Ohio Presidential election when he received an unsolicited e-mail containing obviously erroneous election results from Cleveland.  He quickly found that hundreds of votes in certain precincts had inexplicably shifted from John Kerry to other presidential candidates.  This made him a witness to a crime, with a duty to investigate further and to present his findings publicly.

Phillips wrote and submitted 21 papers to the Ohio Supreme Court as an expert witness in the Moss v. Bush lawsuit.  He presented evidence of voter suppression, failure to count ballots cast, and alteration of the vote count, sufficient to question the alleged victory of George W. Bush in Ohio.  You won't want to miss this interview!

Karen and I will also be giving more details about the Texas Legislature's hearing on electronic voting, and the excellent presentations of the experts VoteRescue brought in:  Bruce Funk, Noel Runyan, Jim March, and Clint Curtis; and we'll talk about the Sturgis event and what transpired there last weekend at the "Festival for Freedom", organized by "Granny Warrior" Linda Hunnicut.

VoteRescue Radio can be heard on the radio in the Austin area at 90.1 FM; is streaming live on www.wtprn.com (for "We the People Radio Network"), AND, can be heard OVER THE PHONE at 512/485-9010!  All shows are archived at the above web site, usually within a couple of hours after 8pm CDT.

Wednesday, 02 July 2008
Hello from VoteRescue Radio, Where Citizens Count, One Vote at a Time!

This Friday, July 4th, from 6-8pm CDT, we will be giving the report on the Interim Hearing of the Texas House Committee on Elections which occurred last Wednesday the 25th, where VoteRescue brought in four fantastic witnesses:  Jim March of Black Box Voting; Clint Curtis, Democratic Congressional candidate and e-voting whistleblower; Bruce Funk, former 23 year Elections Administrator of Emery County, Utah; and Noel Runyan, technical expert who wrote the Accessibility study for the U. of California "Top to Bottom Review".

Karen and I will describe the events before, during, and after the Hearing. Our witnesses did a superb job of educating Representatives on the Committee, as well as many members of the public, on the inherent security issues surrounding the use of electronic voting of all types.

I will be in Sturgis, South Dakota, with Abbe Waldman DeLozier, for the "Festival 4 Freedom"  organized by Linda Hunnicutt, "The Granny Warrior".  Abbe and I will be speaking the afternoon of the 4th, and will be part of a very honorable lineup of fine patriots.  We will be meeting & greeting folks starting July 2nd, so I'll be lining up some special guest speakers to come join us on the air Friday evening.

Tune in this Independence Day - we'll have some real, live patriots on the air for interviews!

VoteRescue Radio: Rebroadcast: David Earnhardt, "Uncounted" PDF Print
Friday, 27 June 2008
Hello from VoteRescue Radio - Where Citizens Count, One Vote at a Time!

Today, due to exhaustion after a very exciting couple of days at the Austin Capitol Hearing of the House Committee on Elections, we will be running a rebroadcast of a wonderful interview from May 18th with special guest David Earnhardt, Producer/director/writer of the spectacular film expose on election fraud and voter disenfranchisement, "Uncounted - The New Math of American Elections".

This powerful film demonstrates how millions of people's votes are uncounted in major election after major election, either through voter suppression - where people showing up to the polls on Election Day are prevented from exercising their right to
vote - or through the many problems with the electronic voting that comprises the way 85% of voters now cast and/or have their ballots counted.

David has been touring the nation for the last several months with this blockbuster film and getting rave reviews everywhere.  400 "House Party" screenings have been held in 42 states; the film has sold in all 50 states and 206 countries through its website, "UncountedTheMovie.com".  Approximately 10,000 viewers have been "fired up" for action by this dynamic and important film.

As David said in a recent e-mail blast,

"As we finish up this tumultuous primary season and head into the general election, "Mayday" is the emergency code word and international signal for distress that should be on everyone's lips. For as much progress as we've made on the issue of election integrity, come November we are still only a Supreme Court decision or state law away from your precious vote being denied, lost, or altered."  David will offer specific actions citizens can take to get the word out on this film and this issue.

VoteRescue Radio Fri.6/20, 6-8pm:John Brakey, Debra Medina! PDF Print
Friday, 20 June 2008
Hello from VoteRescue Radio, Where Citizens Count, One Vote at a Time!
Tomorrow, Friday, June 20th, from 6-8pm, we are excited to announce two dynamic guests: DEBRA MEDINA, Republican Party Chair of Wharton County, Texas, will be on during our first hour to talk about her temporary restraining order against the Texas State Republican Party, granted June 4th; her purpose was to restore order and integrity to the Party and ensure fair treatment of all of the delegates at the Texas Republican State Convention. We'll hear from Debra tomorrow as to whether or not that happened last week at the Convention, which was held in Houston.
In our second hour, we'll be talking with JOHN BRAKEY , Co-founder of AUDIT-AZ. (Americans United for Democracy, Integrity, and Transparency in Elections, Arizona) and the Special Task Force Leader of the Arizona Democratic Party Election Integrity Committee, in which he works as Co-Coordinator for Investigations along with David Griscom of the Election Defense Alliance (EDA).
John says he became an election integrity activist "at 3:30 pm November 2, 2004". On that day, which was Election Day 2004, John was Democratic "Cluster Captain" for four precincts in Arizona Congressional District 7, which had 80% non-Republican, predominately Hispanic voter registration, yet would be recorded as having voted 42% for Bush.

Throughout Election Day, John witnessed suspicious behavior by poll workers at three of his four precincts. An hour after the polls had closed, he caught poll workers at one of these stations in the act of altering the poll books. Shocked, John immediately launched what would grow into a 1,000+ hour audit of the voting at precinct #324, beginning by salvaging the poll-worker-annotated “Advice to Voter” slips from the trash the next morning and then buying copies of all other pertinent public records. John entered all of these data on Excel spreadsheets and began e-mailing them to Dave Griscom with highlighted oddities and irregularities.

Eventually, the team of Brakey and Griscom uncovered evidence of an elaborate "hack and stack" poll-worker fraud designed to alter the optical scan ballot count and evade detection in a recount. Griscom was able to calculate the probability of the seven irregularities the found being committed exactly 11 times each. The odds that these seven irregularities were random accidents due to poll-worker incompetence, were less than one chance in 20 million. Conclusion: The poll workers did these things on purpose, and they religiously followed a formula whereby they could have swung the vote by as much as 12.8%--without being detected in a manual recount of the ballots.

John, together with his Audit-AZ team including colleague Jim March (whom John affectionately calls "Jimmy the Geek") have just had a huge win in the courts, where Pima County, Arizona election officials have been ordered to release all of the electronic voting databases for all future elections, and for past elections going back to 1998. This offers an amazing opportunity to discover fraud with the electronic voting systems, and is the first court victory of its kind giving citizens the kind of access they deserve to election records.
