Hello from VoteRescue Radio - Where Citizens Count, One Vote at a Time!
This Sunday,
May 11th, we VoteRescue Radio Moms are taking off for Mother's Day -
(Happy Mother's Day, Y'all!) so we're going to rebroadcast from 2-4 CDT
our March 30th interview with BRAD FRIEDMAN of BradBlog.com as our special guest!
BRAD FRIEDMAN...
Aside from being named Time Magazine's 2006 "Person of the Year",
(along with all of us other activists, I've now learned! :) Brad is an
investigative citizen journalist/blogger, political commentator and
broadcaster. He is the creator and managing editor of The BRAD BLOG (http://www.Bradblog.com).
Just some of the many notable national stories he's broken on his blog include "The White House Website Scrubbing", the "Tom Feeney/Clint Curtis/Yang Enterprises Vote-Rigging Scandal", the story of the phony GOP front group, "American Center for Voting Rights", the E-Voting Machine "Sleepover" controversy
in San Diego's Busby/Bilbray U.S. House Special Election and his
continuing coverage of Electronic Voting Machine companies such as Diebold
who are destroying American democracy. He has been reporting on other
stories closely related to election integrity since at least November
3rd, 2004.
Reports and breaking news from his popular website, The BRAD BLOG, are frequently cited by the national media, and can be read at www.BradBlog.com. He
has appeared in numerous documentary films, as well as on ABC News,
CNN, CourtTV and elsewhere to discuss his reporting and expertise on a
variety of issues.
Enjoy this
lively interview with Brad, discussing the breaking stories on the
unsealing that week of the Hart whistleblower lawsuit; the "Sequoia
threatens Princeton" story and the followup about Kwaidan Consulting,
the "independent company" hired by Sequoia to review their voting
systems (aka Mike Gibbons, whose Myspace page until recently
advertised his desire to meet a blonde nymphomanic) and other fun and
outrageous stories broken by Brad recently and in the past!
We also focused
on Texas on this show; news about the Texas Primary; final Exit Poll
results from VoteRescue; discrepancies on the Secretary of State's
website re: election results reporting; and returning guest Debra Medina,
Wharton County Republican Chair also joined us for an update on her
battle to eliminate ES&S Ivotronic machines from her Primary
election after the Jim Welch "voteflipping incident" in November's
state election.
The show can be heard on the radio in the Austin area at 90.1 FM; is streaming live on www.wtprn.com (for "We the People Radio Network"), AND, can be heard OVER THE PHONE at 512/485-9010!
While we are normally able to take some callers, since tomorrow's show is a rebroadcast, we won't be able to this week.
Hope you will listen in on Sunday!
WE ARE WINNING--because of citizens like YOU!!
With thanks for your support,
Vickie and Karen
